Patient Portal

A secure, no-password web portal that moves check-in work out of your front office and into the days before the visit. Patients confirm appointments, update contact details, photograph insurance cards, complete intake forms, and see what copay to expect. Everything writes to the same DoctorConnect record your staff already work in, so there is no second system to reconcile.

What patients handle themselves

Each completed step is one fewer thing your staff has to chase.

  1. 1

    Confirm or reschedule

Patients confirm attendance or signal they need to move the visit. The status is the same one your staff see, so reschedule intent arrives with enough lead time to refill the slot.

  2. 2

    Verify contact and insurance

Patients correct the phone, email, and address you already have, then photograph their insurance card and ID and key in member and group numbers. Clean coverage data lands before arrival instead of being transcribed at the window.

  3. 3

    Complete forms and surveys

Intake, consent, and screening forms are completed at home with progress saved between sessions. Every submission carries a date and time stamp.

  4. 4

    Message the practice

Non-urgent messages arrive on the staff dashboard your team already watches. There is no separate inbox to monitor.

No password, and no enrollment project

Enrollment friction is where most portal rollouts lose the majority of their patient base.

  • Patients sign in with name and date of birth plus a one-time code
  • The code arrives by text message, automated voice call, or email
  • A patient with only a landline can still use the portal
  • If a patient is already in your system with a phone or email on file, they can sign in today
  • Adoption is driven by handing out the link, not by an onboarding project

Common questions

Do patients need to create an account?

No. There is no enrollment and no password. If a patient is in your DoctorConnect system with a phone number or email on file, they can sign in with their name and date of birth plus a one-time code.

Can patients book their own appointments?

They submit a request with two preferred date and time options, the visit type, the reason, and how they want to be contacted. Your staff confirm it. Patients do not see live availability and cannot book themselves into an open slot.

Is there a mobile app to download?

No. The portal is a mobile-friendly website that works in the phone's browser, which is also where the camera-based insurance card capture works natively. No native app is scheduled.

Where do portal messages go?

They appear automatically on the staff dashboard inside DoctorConnect, in the same alerts area your team already watches for texts and other patient activity. There is no second inbox.
